Get to Grips with The Iron Claw

A long-form, scroll-based storytelling experience created to promote the film The Iron Claw. The piece transports readers to the early 1980s, exploring the story of the Von Erich wrestling dynasty. Visually inspired by the graphic language of the 1970s and 1980s wresting magazines, the design draws on bold typography, layered imagery, patterns and texture to introduce the protagonist and guide the narrative towards the family tree.
